Is Sportoora just another sports tracking app?

Sportoora is your activity diary - it doesn't track your distance, speed or any other technical information. It only records activities you've done and the time you spent on it, for instance, "Yoga, 45 min". We would like to motivate users to be active regularly, no matter how good they are at a specific sport or activity.

Who can create Sportoora profile?

Anyone older than 16 years can create their Sportoora profile. By creating your profile, you agree to our Terms of use and Privacy Policy. Sportoora is a tool to help you record your activities, it’s actually your personal activity diary. By connecting with other users, you get to show them how active you are and what are your favourite activities.

Is Sportoora a personal medical device?

No, Sportoora is only a web tool you can use for tracking your activities and time spent. It doesn't connect to any of your personal medical devices and it doesn't monitor your heart rate, blood sugar or any other physical signs. Sportoora can't predict any possible health issues, so in the event of pain or illness, always consult your doctor.

What kind of information can I track with Sportoora?

We believe being active doesn't mean being the fastest or training for records. We truly believe that being regularly active can reward you with a feeling of being a winner every day. We all experience some lazier days, when we don't feel like getting off the couch – putting our shoes on and going out for a run or hike feels like a personal win. We also know that taking good care of our bodies and health is not only about healthy food and enough sleep – it is also important to move and increase our heart rate.

Therefore, Sportoora focuses on two facts: activity and time. Whenever you want to log an activity, you select an activity from the list (of more than 400 and counting) and the minutes (or hours) you spent being active. We believe spending only 4,17% of your day (which equals 1 hour) active will do magic for your body and mind. And it doesn't matter how fast you are, how many points you score or how far you go.

Logging activities

How do I log an activity?

To log an activity, you select an activity from the list and enter the time you spent being active. There is a shortcut for the four activities that you most commonly entered in the last 30 days. You can select another activity by clicking "Other". You can search for the activity by entering its name in the search window or browse for it in different categories. After choosing the activity, enter the time – minutes or hours and minutes. By clicking the button "Post activity", your activity will be recorded and shown in your feed and profile.

You can also add photos, set a different date and time, tag people, set location and write a comment – but remember to do that before pressing "Post activity". Once the activity is logged, you can't edit it, but you can delete it and make a new entry.

What kind of activities can I enter?

There is a list of over 400 activities (and counting) that you can choose from, either by entering the name of the activity in the search box or selecting an activity from one of the categories (for instance "winter fun", "dancing star" etc.).

How do I delete an activity?

If you want to remove an activity that has been posted, hover over (on the web) or click (in the app) on the three dots and choose Delete. A pop-up window will appear to re-check your decision, so you don't erase an activity by accident.

Can I see a summary of my activities for a specific period?

Yes, you can always check your statistics in the folder "All activities". By default, you will see your activities for the current month, but you can set a specific period and get the preview. There are no photos, comments, tagged buddies or locations visible in the summary.


What posts do I see in my feed?

You can see the posts of the people you follow – you will see all the activity posts chronologically.

How does Sportoora determine the order of posts in my feed?

All the posts are shown in reverse chronological order by the time that the activity took place and not when it was posted. For instance, if someone posts an activity on Wednesday, but the activity happened on Monday, it will be shown as a Monday activity.

Tattoos and goals

What are tattoos and how do I earn them?

Tattoos are for extra motivation. We design them with only one thought – to recognize and reward your efforts. Each month you'll be rewarded with a tattoo according to the time you spent being active. Whatever you do is better than nothing, but we would love to see as many people as possible being active every day, at least for an hour.

You will also be able to achieve some special tattoos, either designed by Sportoora or our partners.

Where can I see the tattoos I have achieved?

You can see your achieved tattoos in the folder Tattoos in your Profile, and you can always check how you can achieve additional ones.

Who can see my tattoos?

Everyone who can see your profile can also see your tattoos.


How do I upload a photo?

You can upload one photo each time you post an activity. You can't upload a photo without posting your activity. When you enter the name and the time of the activity, you can add a photo (and location, buddies, comment and set different date and time).

What kind of photos can I upload?

Any photos you upload are subject to our Terms of Use policy, which means no pornographic, violent or other inappropriate content can be posted.

How many photos can I upload?

You can upload one photo per post.

What is the maximum size of the photo that I want to publish?

The maximum file size that you can upload is 10MB.

How can I remove a photo?

When you post a photo, it is a part of the activity post. You can only delete the entire post and can not only remove a photo.

How do I change my profile photo?

Go to your Profile settings, choose Profile Image and click on the button Change Profile Image. Upload a new photo and save it.

You can crop and resize the photo before publishing it.

Your followers and people you follow

How do I start following someone?

You can search for someone by entering their name in the search window and select the "Follow" button next to their name. If their account is private, they will have to confirm you request. If their account is public, you will begin following them immediately after clicking "Follow".

How can people start following me?

You can set your account to public or private. Anyone can follow a public account, but if your account is private, you will have to confirm each follower. You will get a notification for each request.

How do I remove my follower?

To remove a follower, go to your followers' page and click "Remove" next to their name. When you remove a follower, they aren't notified that you've removed them.

How do I tag people in my post?

You can tag people before you post an activity. After entering the activity and then click "Tag people". Write a person's name in the box and when their profile name and picture appear, simply click on it. This will automatically add their name to your post. You can tag more than one person.

Who can see the activities where I tag people?

If you tag your friends in the activity that you post, everyone who can see your post can also see the name of the person you tagged written. Followers of the person tagged will not see the post unless they are your common followers.

Will the activity where I tag people appear in their profile?

The activity where you tag people will only appear in your profile and it will be visible to everyone who can see your posts. It will not automatically be added to the activities of the tagged person, everyone can only post activities in their profile by their self.

Privacy and security

Privacy of my profile

Who can see my profile?

If your account is "public", anyone can like or comment on what you publish. If your account is set as "private", only the people whose follow request you accepted can see your post, statistics etc.,

How do I set my profile so that only selected people can see it?

By default, anyone can view your profile and activities you post on Sportoora. You can make your profile private and visible only to the people that you confirm, by following these steps:

  1. Go to Profile settings
  2. Choose Privacy
  3. In the field Profile.
  4. Save

If your profile is set to private, your posts will by default be visible to everyone who follows you.

Can I use my profile only for myself?

If you would like to use Sportoora only as your personal activity diary, you can simply do it by not adding any followers.

Who can like or comment on my posts?

Everyone who can see your posts can like or comment on them. See previous questions about who can see your posts.

Who can see my comments or likes on other people's posts?

When you like or comment on a post, it's visible to anyone who can see the post.

Who can see my profile and its content on the web?

If your profile is set to private, only people whose follow request you accepted will be able to see your profile, if they are logged in Sportoora.

Who can see my personal information?

Everyone who can see your profile can see your personal information that is set to visible. You can decide which information you want to be visible, except your name (that is always shown publicly).

Security of my account

How do I delete my account?

If you would like to delete your account, all your content will be permanently removed, and it will not be possible to restore it. After you delete your account, you can't sign up again with the same username or add that username to another account, and we can't reactivate the deleted account.

To delete your account, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Profile Settings and choose Privacy
  2. Click link Delete account
  3. Enter your password in the box and press the button Delete account

You can delete your account on the web or within the app.

For security reasons, you can only delete your account, if you're logged in and know your password. We can't delete it for you. If you're not able to log into your account, because you can't remember your password, see the question "I forgot my password. What can I do?"

How do I register/create an account?

To create your personal Sportoora account, simply click on SIGN UP button and fill the empty boxes. After filling all the boxes, click Sign up button. An email will be sent to the email address you provided and to successfully complete the registration, you have to confirm it by clicking on the link in the email.

You can always change your personal information (name, email etc.), except your username.

How do I log in?

To log in, you need to click on the LOGIN link at the top of the page and enter your username or email address and password. You can choose the option "Remember me", so you will be automatically logged in the next time you access your profile on the web or within the App.

How do I log out?

To log out, you need to click on the arrow at the top of the page (web) or your profile photo at the top of the page (App) and choose the link Log Out.

I forgot my password. What can I do?

Choose Login/Register on the top of the page, click on the link "I Forgot my Password" and simply just follow the instructions to reset it.

How do I change my password?

To change your password, go to Profile Setting and click on Password. Enter your current password, then type in your new password, retype to confirm it, and click the "Change password" button. You can do this as often as you like.

Where are my profile settings?

To get to your profile settings, click on the arrow at the right corner on the top of the page (web) or your profile picture at the right corner on the top of the page (App) and chose Profile Settings.

How do I change my date of birth on Sportoora?

If the date of birth that you entered at registration is not correct, go to Profile Settings and choose General. Set the right date and click on the Save button below.

I want to change my email address that is associated with Sportoora

If you want to change the email address that you provided before, go to Profile Settings and choose General. Enter the right email address and click on the Save button below.


How can I turn the notifications off?

By default, all the notifications are turned on. You can always turn them off – go to Profile settings and choose Notifications. You can decide on different activities on your profile if you want to be notified about them or not. You can get notifications when you access your profile or by email.

Pet profile

Creating a pet profile

Can my dog or other animal have a profile?

YES! We know how important your pets are and you want them to be healthy and active too so you can create a profile for your dog, cat, mouse, rabbit, horse – any pet that you own. It is important that you are the real owner because we will link its profile to your profile.

How do I create a pet profile?

Go to your personal profile and click on the arrow on the right corner on the top of the page (web) or profile picture on the right corner on the top of the page (app). In the drop-down menu choose "+Create new pet profile" and follow the instructions.

IMPORTANT: to create a pet profile, you will need to provide a different email address that you use for your profile, but to make future logging in simple, you will automatically have the same password as you use for your personal profile. Your personal and your pet profile(s) will be linked, because you are officially responsible for everything that you post on your pet profile(s), too.

How do I change my pet's information?

Pet profile has all the same functionalities as the regular profile, except that you can only create it if you have your personal profile. You can change its information in the Profile Settings, the same way as you would change your information.

I want to change my pet's profile password

Your pet profile will use the same password as your personal profile, so it will change if you change your personal profile password and you can't change only your pet profile password.

How do I delete my pet's profile?

To delete a pet profile, make sure you log in to the pet profile (and not your personal profile!). Then go to Personal Setting/Privacy/Delete my account. Remember that after you delete a profile, we can't restore it.

Can I link my pet's profile to another personal profile?

Since your pet can't officially be responsible for its posted content, you will have to take that responsibility. Therefore, you can't link your pet's profile to any other personal profile.

Using a pet profile

Who can see my pet’s profile?

Pet's profile can have the same privacy settings as any other profile – by default, it is set to public, but you can change it to "Private".

Can my pet's profile be public, if my personal profile is visible only my followers?

Yes, you can set the privacy of both profiles individually, as well as the privacy of each post that you publish.

How can I switch accounts?

To switch accounts, simply click on the arrow on the right top corner (web) or profile photo on the right top corner (app) and choose switch accounts.

Can my pet follow with other pets?

Yes, your pet can follow other pets! We actually want everyone to be buddies, so your pet can follow any user of Sportoora that accepts its follow request, no matter if they have a personal or pet profile.

I want to be the only one who can see my pet's profile

If you want to be the only one who can see the profile, simply set it to private.
